Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world, Marilyn Monroe says. A lot of us women love shoes. In fact, I am one of them, and I appreciate the certainty that we have lots of choices to choose from. Girls are supposed to look good and beautiful. God made us that way. It’s actually fun when we get to choose our favorite designs and even the color of the shoes we want to purchase from a store. It could be heels, boots, gym shoes, slip-ons, ballet shoes, or whatever kind of shoes we may want in our wardrobe; we just totally love them because we know it can and will bring us to different places.
In the same way, as Ephesians 6:15 (NLT) says, “For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared.” We all know that we are called to make disciples (Matthew 28:19) and that is, we have this fulfilling responsibility to do; it is to share the gospel of peace from person to person until the end of time. Of course, we always have to wear something on our feet when we leave for appointments or when we’re just about to work out. But spiritually speaking, God provides the armor; He provides our spiritual shoes that bring love, peace, joy, and even salvation to every person that God leads us to.
It is not always easy to spread the Word of God especially when situations are trying to hinder you from doing the task that God wants you fulfill. However, isn’t this the reason why God supplies our spiritual shoes that we may be able to bring to completion what God really desires for the world? The fact that there are circumstances, but the shoes that God gives us is where the opportunity comes in. The opportunity where you could actually reach someone out to be saved from eternal anguish because that shoes bring you to a place and to a person who is in need of salvation.
The spiritual shoes don’t just mean and are not limited that we are going to save someone from spiritual death but moreover, those shoes will bring us to a person who is in need of a friend, a comforter, an encourager or just someone to pray with. True enough, giving the right shoes is not just only applicable to girls but to both genders.
God wants us to be a blessing to others. He placed His love in us that we may share it with other individuals when we finally go out of our comfort zones—our homes. He placed His love in our hearts because He will bring us to places and to people and we will show them how God loves them so much. We will able to share and fill them with endless love that God has for them as well.
Right shoes? Ask God for it. It is the best shoes that you could ever wear in your entire life. I am assured that when we put it on, we will be able to conquer the world for His glory.
